About The Carmelite System, Inc. - The Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm

In 1999, the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm formed a non-profit corporation known as The Carmelite System, Inc. in order to perpetuate the healing ministry of Christ in long-term health care.

Catholic Long-Term Health Ministry - Perpetuate and strengthen the Catholic long-term health ministry in the United States and Ireland, respecting and building upon the Mission, Philosophy and Values of the Carmelite Sisters, and in all respects adhering to and governed by the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services, of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, as amended, or the Directives of the Irish Bishops' Conference.
